An article in the Omaha World Herald last week brought out some lessons that the whole country should recognize. Please read the article attached called “The Best Kept Secret”. This article discusses how Omaha has stayed healthy through bad economic times through diversification of industries. Omaha has stayed above water due to its investments in technology, healthcare, transportation, and agriculture. Companies have learned to diversify, too. If I-Go Van and Storage had just been in the residential moving business, we would have really felt the lowest moving volume in 54 years. We luckily had some other business lines to make up for the drop in volume. Please read the article and marvel at how Omaha has been so successful against all odds.
